Dick Spacey comes from the exoplanet Gliese 581g, unofficially known as Zarmina, 20 light years away from Earth, in the constellation of Libra. The population’s name of the planet is Babayebaba
The well known Swedish musician, singer-songwriter and producer Daniel Karlsson aka The Moniker is the project’s musical force, while Hans Forsell, Swedish acclaimed author and surrealism painter, is the mastermind behind the illustrations.
Daniel has been ever-present in the Scandinavian music scene for the last 12 years following his debut – the massive hit single Oh My God! He always seems to find a way to surprise his listeners. Like when he did his folky interpretation of Eminem’s Lose Yourself as his other alias Plastic Messiah.
The Dick Spacey project is another proof of Daniel’s totally unique and limitless creative mind.
Daniel: ”For me this project is somewhere in-between indietronica and pop, with lots of other flavors in it. Mostly green.”
It seems like he’s almost immune against external factors. He’s creating because he needs to, as simple as that, and perhaps that’s the whole point of art.
With his uncompromising, musical integrity and freedom, Daniel has created his own sound. Freely crossing genres and decades. Always true to himself, never compromising on his work. This time through Dick Spacey.
Hans Forsell is a surrealist painter, novice tattooist, comic book creator and also creator of the labels for the world’s best gin, Hernö Gin’s exclusive series “Interpretations”. Yes, the list can be made long and then we have not yet mentioned that he has several books on his CV as well, including the acclaimed “The Big and Little Truth”.
