We stream in Stereo at 192kbps, with a format AAC+ with a samplerate of 44100khz – We are capable to stream at much higher rates.
We use MP3 audio files of at least 192kbps which digitally converts to stream to your favorite device using AAC+ in stereo at 192kbps.
As a noncommercial broadcast radio station (that might also stream over the Internet), you cannot simply play any music you want legally; you need permission. Fortunately, you don’t have to go around cutting checks to every band or artist whose music you use. You can pay a service that does this for you. That being said, NEW or independent artists have to be setup to receive those royalties. Here at RAVN, we work with a service and through artist directly.

Launching this station, we wanted to pick and work with some of the artists from the older studio station and some new artists. The First Ten are artists that were chosen to be artist founders with a special page area with links and bios. There will only be ten. That does not mean that’s the only artists we will have pages for. The First Ten is the First Ten musican founders we chose to launch with as RAVN Radio.
