What is a DJ?
A radio personality who hosts a radio show is also known as a radio host, and in India and Pakistan as a radio jockey. Radio personalities who introduce and play individual selections of recorded music are known as disc jockeys or “DJs” for short.
There aren’t any specific qualifications or certifications necessary to be a DJ
As long as you can put on a good show, entertain the audience and have a good time doing it. It’s a total win for both you and your audience. Don’t forget to engage with your audience.
How can you become a part of the RAVN Radio family?
Step ONE
Have a playlist or idea of a show you would like to do. In most cases, DJ’s do this for a few hours. Here at RAVN Radio you can do a minimum of an hour to a max of 2 hours. Your playlist can be performed LIVE or pre-recorded.
Step TWO
Get a sample playlist together. We would like to request an audio file that is no longer than 2 minutes. This can be something you put together that has your intro, some outtake and a few seconds of music in between and then your outro.
And this is critical! All music should be INDIE music artists, NO national artists from the mainstream. We are here to highlight and give independent artist a way to be heard.
Step THREE
Fill out the form below. Please take the time and gather all your information before submitting.
If you are already a DJ, this should be nothing new to you and quite simple.
For those of you that are NEW DJ, here are a few things that stations or producers are looking for: something that entertains the audience, makes them dance, move, jiggle, sing, or all the above. Your playlist should have ups and downs. Meaning some songs are slower and some are faster.
